On Saturday, May 3, 2025, we hosted our annual “Burger Bowl” — also known as our Civil War. All healthy players were drafted into two teams, this year by two of our injured leaders. Cole Kennedy’s team came out on top in dominant fashion, and David Manoukian earned Burger Bowl MVP honors.

This game marked the final time our seniors competed in a UMass Rugby jersey on home soil as undergraduates. We want to give a huge thank you to this exceptional group. Over the past four years, they’ve left a lasting legacy — reaching the national championship semifinals in 15s, placing 4th in the nation in 7s this year, and winning multiple Liberty Conference championships in both formats.

Their leadership and dedication have transformed this program. They changed the trajectory of UMass Rugby — and come this fall, we look forward to finishing what they started.
